Octoberfest 2011Oktoberfest is a tradition that stretches back over two hundred years, when Munich was still in Bavaria. These days, Bavaria is part of Germany and Oktoberfest is still celebrated in Munich and around the world.

Why is Oktoberfest so popular? Come check out Oktoberfest, one of the many great fall events in Parker, and find out about the authentic Oktoberfest experience for yourself.

This year Parker’s Oktoberfest will take place on September 15th and 16th at the O’Brien Park Parking Lot in Historical Downtown Parker. Lederhosen is completely optional, but you will find Bavarian dancers, plenty of food and vendors, activities for kids, traditional German music from bands like Young Minded Continentals and The Continentals, and of course a biergarten (this is Oktoberfest, after all). Oh, and admission is FREE.

There are many wonderful fall activities in Parker for the whole family, and you won’t want to miss this one!
